1. Live transcription

Users of Microsoft Teams Phone (formerly Microsoft Business Voice) can now benefit from a live transcription service, enabling the recording – in writing – of what is said in a meeting, almost in real-time. Late arrivals can easily catch up on what they’ve missed, and everyone gets to avoid those emails chasing for minutes.

2. Meet now or later

The ‘Meet Now’ button at the top of the calendar enables you to set up an instant meeting or schedule one for a future time or date. Team members receive a shareable link to the meeting, which can be given a custom name.

3. Start a meeting instantly from Outlook

Tired of flipping between programmes? Now you don’t have to. Users of Outlook for Windows can now start a Teams meeting directly from Outlook. Simply open the Calendar in Outlook and select the ‘Meet Now’ button. A Teams meeting pop-up will open, with the option to invite participants or share the meeting link.

4. Navigate with new grid view

Ever been frustrated when presenting a PowerPoint in a Teams meeting? No more! The “grid view” now enables users to go back, skip or navigate slides more easily whilst presenting a PowerPoint deck from the Teams web app or desktop.

5. Transfer calls between devices

If you’ve taken a call on the go shortly before arriving at the office, it can be frustrating to continue the call on your mobile device. Now, with Microsoft Teams Phone, you can automatically transfer your calls between devices.
